I wanted to create a piece that feels like a love letter to that era—bringing in elements like the Rugrats top, afro puffs, and cassette tape purse to honor the details that made the '90s so fun and expressive. This painting celebrates the carefree spirit and unapologetic pride of Black women, reminding us of the joy and creativity that comes from embracing our culture.
