Artist’s Note:
Curls for The Girls came from a desire to push my own boundaries. I was inspired by a similar portrait I found on Pinterest, and I wanted to try something new—a playful bob with vibrant pink curls. Society often implies that bold colors aren’t for Black women, but I love how we continue to prove that wrong. This piece is a tribute to the confidence and creativity Black women bring to every space, embracing colors and styles that showcase our individuality.
